    This watermelon salad is sure to surprise you with its complementary flavors. It's tangy, salty, and sweet—what a combination! Prepare and share this at a picnic or summer BBQ. The prep time is less than 10 minutes and you don’t have to turn on any heat source to make it (no heating up the kitchen required!). I think this salad pairs well with a veggie burger, loaded with butter lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles.

    Note: eyeball how much of the ingredients you want to add to the watermelon, based on your liking.


    • 1 watermelon
    • 1 medium-sized red onion
    • 1 6 oz. feta cheese crumbles
    • 1 cup kalamata olives
    • Olive oil
    • White balsamic vinegar
    • Sea salt


    1. Cut watermelon into cubes or balls; place it into a large bowl.
    2. Thinly slice the red onion. Combine it with the watermelon.
    3. Rough cut whole kalamata olives or add pre-sliced ones. Add these to the bowl as well.
    4. Sprinkle in the feta cheese crumbles.
    5. Add a drizzle of olive oil, white balsamic vinegar, and sea salt.
    6. Stir and taste. Refrigerate until you’re ready to serve and eat.
