Sharon Page, Founder & Yogi  

My Favorite Pose is the Flying Pigeon: When I get stuck in a rut the Flying Pigeon just takes me out of my comfort area and into something new. It's so much fun and embraces the unknown and welcomes us falling and laughing.

In 2007, Sharon won a trip of a lifetime through a Marmot sponsored contest--a trek to the Himalayas! Once there, the ancient Tibetan monasteries in the Ladakh region of Northern India inspired her in a life-changing manner. Basking in the peace of her surroundings, Sharon committed to heal herself from the trauma of an attempted murder attack in her past. Upon her return from India, she read an article on the practice of yoga and her journey with yoga began! Sharon completed her Level 1 Yoga Flow training with Baron Baptiste in 2010 in Hawaii and finished a 200 hour Power Yoga Certification and Advanced Training with Suzie Harris at the Namaspa Yoga Studio in Bend, Oregon in 2011 and has continued training with such teachers as Philip Orzo, Rusty Wells, Shiva Rea and Seane Corn.

Mukha Yoga is the result of a long, amazing journey. It is a dream becoming true.

I am a native Oregonian and love that I can say I grew up in this amazing paradise of Bend, OR. I first found yoga as a way to heal my body from all the running I had done over the years. I was first drawn to the physicality of the practice and soon found myself practicing yoga more than running. But something else was going on, my body, specifically my knees and my hands were starting to feel better. I found myself starting to pause before speaking, pause before responding. This journey has allowed me to dance in my authenticity, to hear my voice and love all of me and shine! I am continuing to grow and learn. And let’s face it, life is exciting, wear clothes that excite you! Currently I hold my ERYT-200, RYT-500.

Julie Bertagna

Julie Bertagna is a 500 RYT and Certified Baptiste Yoga Teacher who teaches Baptiste Power Yoga and Recovery Yoga at Namaspa, as well as in her home studio, The Yoga Loft, in Bend , OR.  She is a mother, grandmother, loves the outdoors and still practices Dental Hygiene one day a week!  In, the Summer, she spends time at her partner's retreat venue  Vernonia Springs, putting on retreats and special events.  More information about Julie’s offerings can be found on her website, www.juliebertagnayoga.com

Yoga is everything to me. It is my passion, my philosophy, my physical outlet, my community, and my home. I have been practicing for over a decade and have taught both beginners and advanced practitioners throughout the past 6 years. I hold three 200HR certifications with focuses on power yoga, mediation and anatomy. My dedication to yoga has brought me around the world and closer to myself. I draw upon

Faith Star Leslie Hoffman l Writer at Mukha Yoga

Fae Leslie Hoffman

Fae is a butterfly leaf girl. She teaches yoga, cartwheels in the rain, reads ferociously, and is learning how to listen to stillness. Fae has been published in The Southampton Review and elephant journal and writes best barefoot. She completed her 200 hour teacher training with Leslie Pearlman and is trained in Vinyasa with a fierce Forrest influence. She is also certified in Thai massage, and has taught in New York, Thailand, Oregon, Wisconsin, and deep in the backwoods of California. Yoga makes her brave.

Began her yoga experience in 1983 when diagnosed with a fast growing tumor and heard the word; cancer. To help deal  with the pain and stress of her treatments she began exploring different types of yoga.  Fast forward to 2015 Nancypractices every day and contributes her good health to the benefits that yoga brings. The gentle stretches allow us to maintain a healthy muscle tone and the meditation creates ease in our lives.
