Mukha Yoga is located in the heart of Central Oregon - where we are surrounded by vibrant natural beauty. We know that if this natural beauty is truly to be enjoyed in generations to come, that we must be good stewards:

Sustainability asks us to take a look at what resources we use and how we dispose of the resources when we are done. Using recycled materials cuts down on greenhouse emissions, reduces landfill waste, and conserves energy and precious resources.

We love cork products. Sustainably harvested cork is biodegradable and durable - an excellent alternative to foam, plastics, and PVC. Cork also has anti-microbial properties that we appreciate, especially as the past few years have taught us to be more hygiene-conscious.

Rubber mats have always been a crowd favorite - with the ability to absorb moisture, rubber mats have a slip-resistant stickiness and durability that many love.

If you are looking for an environmentally friendly and ethical purchase, rubber is great since, like cork, it is biodegradable. But we want to go beyond how our products return to the earth after the years of use and love - and look at how they are harvested. We seek out partners that harvest their rubber in a sustainable and ethical way - ensuring their rubber comes from renewable and non-ozone depleting sources.

How much energy does it take for a product to get from the location where it was made to your doorstep? The less travel time, the lower the carbon footprint. This is why a large number of our products are made in the USA.  

We all know the three R's: Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle. By wearing durable and long-lasting clothing made from recycled textiles you can hit all three of the R's. The below products used material made from recycled water and soda bottles to give a second life to single-use plastics.

Buying organic is important for the food you eat, but also for the clothes you put on your body. Organic cotton has a lower environmental footprint and reduces the exposure of harsh chemicals on you and the workers making your clothes.

Bamboo is nature’s activewear, offering us naturally anti-bacterial, highly breathable, moisture-wicking, insulating, wrinkle-resistant, and ultra-soft clothing. Plus, bamboo is a quickly regenerating plant, making it a mores sustainable option over most fabrics. So, naturally we are obsessed.
